Stimulating. Expanding. International. Local. Amazing discoveries can be unlocked at The Phuket Trickeye 3D Museum, an interactive art centre located in historic Phuket Town, once the epicentre of trade and culture on Phuket. Hundreds of three-dimensional artworks by local and foreign artists are housed in this extraordinary 3,000-square-metre building, which was originally built as a movie theatre.
The interactive artworks were mainly inspired by the French trompe-l’oeil technique, which employs realistic imagery to create the optical illusion of three dimensions. For example, Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Van Gogh’s self-portrait and Starry Night are presented in three-dimensional parody.
The museum is also an ideal starting point for a fascinating exploration of Phuket Town’s streets that are home to 100-year-old shop-houses of Sino-Portuguese architecture.
Guests can enjoy free entrance fees by presenting their Unlock ArtTM room keycard-valid during regular center hours only.
